Call for Submissions: Issue 7

|

We invite you to contribute to the Oxford Political Review’s 7th print issue, on the theme of Looking South.

In this issue, the OPR encourages writers to take on a more regional focus on the Global South, including Central and South America, Africa, the Pacific Islands, the Caribbean, and Asia, and those regions which generally go neglected in Western media and scholarship.

This can have a political, economic, social or cultural focus, looking at North-South or South-South relations, colonialism, neo-imperialism, how expanding our narrow focus beyond just the Global North can deepen our understanding of politics, or a related topic.

The deadline for submissions is Sunday, 15th May (new extended deadline).

We are looking for submissions of a length between 800 and 2,000 words, formatted along the lines of our style guide.

If you have an idea for a submission but you’re not sure if it’s what we’re looking for, you’re welcome to pitch it to us before you write a full-length piece.

Typically we have more submissions than we can accept, so you are encouraged to make submissions well in advance of the deadline. If we like your submission but cannot accept it for the sixth issue, we will publish it separately online.

If you would like to make a submission or have any questions, email us at oxfordpoliticalreview@gmail.com
